Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is an American chef television personality and an instructor from the Institute of Culinary Education. She is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at Food Network. Food Network. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host sporting spiky blonde locks and a lively appearance, shares tips on how to cook restaurant-style dishes at home, using easy methods. Chef Burrell was employed for a time in New York at top restaurants as well as studied Italian cuisine tradition and its environment. Additionally, she competed as Iron Chef America on Food Network. Growing up in the upstate New York area, Chef Burrell found a passion for cooking and food from a young age. After earning an English and Communications degree in Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her passion for the industry of restaurants by registering at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America is where I spent the most fun time of my life. I couldn't seem to get enough enjoyment from it. Following graduation, Chef Burrell spent a year in Italy studying at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. While in Italy the chef acquired an appreciation for and appreciation for Italian cuisine. It had a significant influence on her perception of food. Burrell served as a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that aims to make a difference in the lives of kids facing challenges. She is also a Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador who promotes the awareness of children with diabetes. She frequently travels around the country in her role as a mentor as well as a public speaker in which she speaks about her work and passion for cooking. Throughout Anne's culinary journey she has always said I feel so lucky to be able to share my true passion for life with people.
