Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer well-known for his unique mix of soul gospel jazz R&B as well as R&B. Avery Sunshine has performed on Broadway and in festivals throughout Europe, as well as performing at Democratic National Convention. The real name of Sunshine is Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta the place she was raised is Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical experience began at the church, where she sang and played piano. After graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she began her musical journey on the Atlanta's R&B music scene. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her vocals, asked Sunshine to join the Dreamgirls show during the Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained national recognition for four daily performances during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was invited to perform at President Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
